Atlanta, Ga. (PRWEB) -- The Wayzon Project is a new venture designed to
provide Internet users with a simplified way to find and interact with
others that share their same interests. This innovative enterprise is
formally announcing the launch of their Web site, Wayzon.com.
The goal of Wayzon.com is to optimize the way people network and
socialize online by connecting users through their interests rather
than social connections. Wayzon founder, Paul Holcomb states, "Many
people are connected via popular social networking sites, but they have
no idea what their connections are interested in. They may be connected
to a subject-matter expert or fan of the same sports team and never
know it."
The first release of The Wayzon Project is designed to introduce
users to Wayzon's more open networking environment. Upon registration,
users complete an interest profile and select their top interests and
relevant expertise or experience level. Once logged in, users are able
to see other users that share their same interests, and can search for
other users by interest.
"The dizzying numbers of social networking sites being introduced
have little distinction between them," said Holcomb. "We wanted to help
people make sense of this very crowded space by providing a tool that
enables them to bypass social connections and find people who share
their interests." In addition to their interest profile, users can add
their personal links to top-tier social sites like LinkedIn and
Facebook, but display their specific interests and expertise through
Wayzon.
The Wayzon beta introduces an interactive interface called "visual
mode" that allows users to see all other users who have a given
interest, and see what interests each user has in their profile. The
"search mode" adds extended functionality that allows users to identify
user's specific expertise or experience. "The ultimate goal for Wayzon
is to create an 'always-on' environment where someone can identify and
interact with subject-matter experts, enthusiasts, or fans of just
about any topic - anytime day or night," said Holcomb.
