YouTube's biggest stars take over Toronto for YouTube FanFest

TORONTO/CNW/ - YouTube FanFest is set to rock Toronto on Saturday, August 13 as the world's biggest homegrown and international YouTube stars descend on Molson Canadian Amphitheatre for a live showcase of of music, mashups, dance and more. The show will play to a sold-out crowd of 15,000 YouTube superfans.

The free show will make its triumphant return to Toronto, allowing fans to get up close and personal with their favourite superstar YouTube Creators and rising talent from Canada and across the globe.

Toronto's own YouTube superstar Lilly Singh (aka IISuperwomanII) will perform "Voices,"her dramatic and confessional new single that has generated more than two-million views in less than a week. The incredible lineup also features Canadian stars LaurDIY, Mike Tompkins, Ruth B, Daniela Andrade, AsapSCIENCE  and Humble the Poet along with international hitmakers Bethany Mota, Megan Nicole, Tiffany Alvord and Sam Tsui.

Hosted by former MuchMusic personality and Hot for Food YouTube Creator Lauren Toyota, YouTube FanFest will also feature dance performances from Marquese Scott (WHZGUD2),  Poppin John.

"Canada is a hotbed for creative talent on YouTube, and Canadian stars are some of the biggest YouTube stars on the planet," said Fabricio Dolan, Canadian Marketing Director, YouTube. "We know how dedicated and passionate Canadian YouTube fans are and the energy here in Toronto is electric."

Building on the success of last year, when Toronto hosted the first YouTube FanFest in North America,  this year's lineup features some of the most-watched stars, with a combined reach of 52+ million subscribers, and a cumulative 7.9+ billion views.
