Mobile billing provider 3BILL has
announced the acquisition of social networking site, Profile Heaven. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The UK based
social networking site aimed at 15-24 year olds was purchased for an undisclosed sum and will be re-branded and upgraded in the coming months in an attempt to grow the user-base.
Martin Montague, chief executive officer of
3BILL explains that Profile Heaven will be an opportunity for 3BILL to revolutionise the social networking industry. Montague also says, ?Now we have access to a thriving community of 15-24 year olds that will help get us off the starting block quickly and improve our insight. This will allow us to profile the users more precisely. We aim to use this intelligence to deliver some fantastic benefits to existing and new users of Profile Heaven.?
3BILL, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Symbios Solutions, will re-launch Profile Heaven in June 2008. According to 3BILL, the re-launch will include a ?range of previously unseen web and mobile applications.? They will also introduce music, video and gaming as core elements of the new Profile Heaven site.
