 London: To celebrate Skype?s sponsorship of Internet Week Europe 2012 Skype are giving everyone in the UK free access to wireless hotspots with Skype WiFi. Between Monday 7 and Friday 11 November everyone can get online for up to 60 minutes ? absolutely free.¹

Skype WiFi is the convenient one-click and you?re done way to get online while out and about ? no more fumbling with credit cards or lost passwords. You?ll get online at wireless hotspots near you in an instant and only pay for what you use with Skype Credit.

Skype WiFi is now available at over 1 million wireless hotspots worldwide ? including hotels, airports, train stations, convention centres, bars and restaurants. The WiFi hotspots will enable everyone participating in Internet Week Europe, as well as the rest of the UK, to benefit from the weeklong festival.

How to get online for free with Skype WiFi
On your laptop/computer
1. Make sure you?ve got the latest version of Skype on your computer and a Skype account. Don?t have an account? Create one now
2. Join a Skype partner WiFi network ? a message will ask if you want to get online using Skype WiFi.
3. Select Connect and you're online.
4. Once you've finished, just select Disconnect.

On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
1. Go to the App Store and download the free Skype WiFi app.
2. Open the Skype WiFi app on your iPhone, iPad² or iPod touch.
3. Sign in with your Skype account details. Don?t have an account? Create one now
4. Tap Connect and you're online.
5. Once you've finished, just tap Disconnect.

Staying connected
Need more than your free hour of internet access? Stay connected at great rates using Skype Credit. Skype WiFi prices start from US6¢/4p/5?¢ per minute³ (inclusive of VAT) and you?re only ever charged for the minutes you?re connected. There are no limits on the amount of data you can upload or download.

Paying on a per-minute basis with Skype WiFi is great to avoid expensive data roaming charges when abroad ?  making it cost effective to  update Facebook, send a tweet, make a Skype call or upload photos.
