Tim Gibbon cofounder and editor at the Social Media Portal (SMP) and founder of communications consultancy Elemental will be contributing to the panel on Tuesday, 16 April 2013 entitled ?Buy-in from other departments, senior management and the board.?  He will be joined by James Carson of Carson Content and former digital strategist from publishing company Bauer Media.  Both Tim and James will be taking questions from other guest speakers and attendees during the panel.

Gibbon explains, ?Although communities, social media and digital communications have been with us for decades, it isn?t necessarily embraced and managed in-house as well as it could be ? the utility sector isn?t any different.  We?ll be sharing why this is and what organisations can do to alleviate issues what can be the difference between success and failure.?

?As more projects and the management of content, digital, mobile and social media is being brought and managed in-house (and rightly so), we?ll be highlighting the importance of how to build and nurture the culture that is needed. This will assist organisations evolve quicker within such a rapidly changing environment and to help build better long-term relationships with an array of stakeholders as they also become more digitally savvy,? adds Gibbon.
