Penny Chan (PC): I?m Penny Chan, senior specialist and responsible for Rosegal's press release team.

SMP: Briefly, tell us about Rosegal

RoseGal based in Asia, most of its items are manufactured in China and the Philippines, which make its prices are competitive. All we need to know next is customers favorite styles.

SMP: What are the challenges that you?ve encountered and how are you overcoming them in what you have been doing so far at Rosegal?

PC:
Different culture, the different way of thinking.
Westerners are preferred more direct ways but we are not. I try to adapt it and think issues with a more direct way. At last, I found it?s very comfortable.

SMP: What are the high moments of what you have been doing so far?

PC: When media are interested in RoseGal and our press release.

SMP: What do you see as your biggest challenges and opportunities for your sector and the competition that you have?

PC:
There are more and more clothing e-retailers. We feel more pressures. Take Google AdWord for example, we can get a nice return on investment (ROI) before when the cost per click (CPC) was $0.3. Now, even the CPC is $1, there is no displayed quantity. However, competition brings benefit for customers.

SMP: What is the most challenging part of building upon your brand presence in digital environments (including social media)?

PC: The impact of regional culture on the brand makes we are weak when competing with western brands. Therefore, we need a unique sales proposition (USP), that is, establish an image of an affordable fashion brand.

SMP: Why is delivery so important to ecommerce?

PC:
The front end of e-commerce is displayed products online, it's virtual. Delivery lets the virtual products be the reality. Without delivery, e-commerce is just an online display.

SMP:
In your press release you mention the pace of the internet changing things, how are you tackling this?

PC: Customers pay more and more time on social media. Rosegal increased more interaction with them via mainstream social medias like Facebook, Instagram and Blog. Recently, we make solving customer questions via Facebook Messenger a reality.

SMP: Is there anything else we should know, or is there anything that you?d like to share?

PC:
The delivery time may be one or two months due to international shipping and clearing customs. But please believe that Rosegal always keeps on optimising its delivery system to shorten the time.
