Inclusion Requirements

Social Media Portal (SMP) inclusion requirements

To ensure that the Social Media Portal (SMP) Landscape remains a valuable resource for all to use, we have designated seven specific areas to focus upon.    Below are the seven areas for interest for the SMP; click on the hyperlinks for each to read more about each and why the SMP has decided to include them.

The Social Media Portal (SMP) Landscape items:
  • Blog
  • Business
  • Community
  • Mobile
  • Search
  • Technology
  • UGC (user-generated content)

Our (Elemental and SMP) philosophy is that experience, information and knowledge should be shared for all to benefit; after all, this is how we all grow.  We hope that you also embrace similar principles and would like to create, maintain and build your relationship with us (and therefore your target audience) and move beyond just listing your resource.

Currently, we are only accepting sites from agencies and consultancies that are immersed in social media and similar technologies (unless they publish a blog, or address any requirements of landscape items above), because we are committed in building the social media landscape, demonstrating its core beginnings, growth and development.

To put it simply, if you haven’t created technology such as a social network, search engine or genuinely a part of the landscape as described for the SMP, unfortunately we will not include your resource or site at this time.  We are looking to include the above that have delivered work in this space and can demonstrate it, not those that have an interest, or are thinking about it.  However, be patient with us as we may extend the functions of what the portal will do in the future.

If you are unsure, then send us an email via our contact form so we may review your resource.

To review a website can take up to 72 hours due to administration.
