Jasper Newton ?Jack? Daniel, the man who pioneered the world?s best-selling whiskey, was born in Lynchburg, Tenn., in September 1850, but his exact birth date is unknown. So, the birthday celebration is taking place the entire month of September.

"Jack Daniel?s birth records were likely lost to fire or the passage of time, but in Lynchburg we?ve always just taken a practical approach to that problem by celebrating all month long," says Jack Daniel?s Master Distiller Jeff Arnett. ?Mr. Jack loved a good party so we think he?d appreciate this solution.
