Premier publishing conference and expo PME about to touch down
Publishing & Media Expo (PME) touches down tomorrow bringing professionals across media and publishing togetherThe premier conference for the publishing sector,
Publishing & Media Expo (PME), touches down in the UK tomorrow bringing together multi-platform publishers from around the globe. It?s being held at popular conference venue in West London, Earls Court 2.
From the 26-27 February, media and publishing professionals will converge for what is considered the multi-platform publishing show. The event attracts international stakeholders, all having the common goal of succeeding in a competitive and changing environment.
PME runs alongside the International Direct Marketing Expo (IDMX), the Online Advertising & Affiliate Expo (OA&A) and Technology for Marketing (TFM&A), all of which are ran by UBM creating the perfect arena for a variety of business, marketing and publishing professionals.
Billed as a publishing conference with something for the whole publishing team, PME brings together a range of professionals across media; whether attendees work in marketing, distribution, management, design, production, print, editorial and circulation. Exhibitors, guest speakers, panel members attending include Adobe Systems Europe, Daily Mail, Fresh Media Group, Future Publishing Ltd, Gatorade (Pepsico) UK, Immediate Media Branded Content, Pensord, MacUser, Microsoft, The Digital Publishing Company and more.
?The media and publishing industry has been experiencing challenges for a number of years. The industry needs a conference that can offer the right environment for professionals to collaborate in order to stay current and approach the evolving sector. This is even more important especially when there can be fragmentation, a place where media and publishers both need to take stock, learning how to address cross media channels and techniques,? comments Tim Gibbon, cofounder and editor at the
Social Media Portal (SMP).
Aidan Walker, director of the Publishing & Media Expo seminar programme agrees commenting, ?The publishing industry has been going through momentous times for a generation, and it doesn?t look like settling down any time yet?.?No one really knows what?s happening, and if they say they do, they?re lying.? But for 2013 we?re beginning to see the industry facing up to its need for a re-think. Gone are the days when we just hoped that doing the same old thing ? but digitally ? would work.?
?What can we learn by asking so many questions? That the Publishing & Media Expo seminar programme is where you?ll find the best answers, that?s what. No promises for final, definitive solutions; but this is where you?ll get the industry?s best minds at work and at play. Don?t miss it,? adds Walker.
The Publishing & Media Expo also has its
own app allowing attendees to create their personal show agenda; add speakers, exhibitors and contacts; receive conference push notifications of the latest PME news and add favourites from content discovered.
