Olga Grigorievskaya curator at RACE shares more on what to expect at the dedicated affiliate marketing conference

Social Media Portal (SMP): What is your name and what do you do there for the Smile Expo and the Russian Affiliate Congress (RACE) 2016?

Olga Grigorievskaya (OG): My name is Olga Grigorievskaya and I am curator of the projects at the Smile-Expo. At the moment I am the curator of the Russian Affiliate Congress (RACE) 2016.

SMP: What?s your role in making the event more visible?

OG: It is always nothing more important than actual values of the event. So I can?t do anything better than just to tell fairly about our real goals and values, among which are racing (in terms of continuous movement in business), transmission of the professional knowledge and experience, development of the affiliate marketing market as a whole.

SMP: When and where is the event going to be held ? and why this this a great location for the region?

OG: As long as RACE aims to become an effective platform for business cooperation and partnership, it will take place in the very business centre of Russia, Moscow, moreover in the heart of the city business life, Novotel Hotel. The date is 07 October 2016.

SMP: Affiliate marketing appears to have taken a back seat while newer buzzwords (content marketing, moment marketing, social media) have taken over, what can make it great again?

OG: Affiliate marketing appears to become a specific synergy of all above mentioned issues. It is a competitive advantage of affiliate marketing, the ability to gather all innovative digital instruments aiming to increase business monetisation and to improve the market as a whole.

SMP: What do we have to look forward to at the Russian Affiliate Congress 2016 and what?s different about this event?

OG: There are always innovations and new trends waiting for you at the Russian Affiliate Congress. For the fifth year in a row we are doing our best to provide our loyal, as well as new, audience with unbiased opinions, professional knowledge and unprecedented experience of the best affiliate marketing experts. Moreover, this year we are looking forward to more foreign experts along with the best native ones.

SMP: What are the challenges that you?ve encountered and how are you overcoming them in what you have been doing so far at Russian Affiliate Congress 2016?

OG: The main challenge of any business is the lack of communication or existing of inappropriate business platform for such communication, if it still exists. It is actually how we are overcoming these challenges so far preparing for the Russian Affiliate Congress 2016. We are doing our best to build an efficient platform for business communication and exchange of ideas.

SMP: What are the high moments of what you have been doing so far?

OG: We are binding different world trends of affiliate marketing, transmitting them to the Russian area. This provides us with an opportunity to satisfy interests of experienced professionals as well as beginners.

SMP: What do you see the biggest challenges and opportunities for affiliates and the competition they may have?

OG: I think the biggest challenge ever is to go in tune with the times without omitting anything important. There is even a saying: ?Change or die?. So affiliates should always stay open for new trends and changes, but never neglecting the significance of each affiliate marketing participant.

SMP: What do you think is going to be the most interesting aspect regarding affiliates will be for the next 12 to 18-months and why?

OG: There is continuously growing role of data driving marketing in the affiliate marketing sphere. So affiliates should always keep in mind this aspect of affiliate marketing in order to gain success and retain their positions.

SMP: What are your top five predictions for affiliates and affiliate marketing for the next 12 to 18-months and why?

• The market will continue scaling and growing.
• Affiliate marketing will be greatly globalised.
• The widespread use of innovations, e.g. mobile.
• Creativity as an obligatory aspect of competiveness.
• There is a growing role of content variability.

SMP: What are your top overall five affiliate marketing tips and why?

OG: I?d like just to highlight few trends affiliates should always keep in mind in future in order to be on the top: e-commerce, content-marketing, depersonalisation in media, role of companies providing instruments for effective cooperation.  

SMP: Is there anything else we should know, or is there anything that you?d like to share?

OG: In the course of preparing to the Congress we investigate the experience of foreign experts in order to clear up which position holds Russia in the world affiliate marketing market.

OG: Coffee and a good mood =)

SMP: What?s the last good thing that you did for someone?

OG: I smiled and shared positive mood with other people.

SMP: If you weren?t working at Russian Affiliate Congress 2016 what would you be doing?

OG: Besides project management it would be definitely related to innovations, marketing and also self-development.

SMP: What?s the first thing you do when you get into the office of a morning?

OG: I switch on my PC and communicate with my team.

SMP: If you had a superpower what would it be and why?

OG: I would make a day longer than 24 hours and would like to be present in different places at the same time.
