NBC Universal have bought
MySpace internet series
Quarterlife, produced by Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick.
This makes it the first time that an internet series has been picked up by a TV network. Quarterlife, a series about a female blogger began on MySpace on 11 November 2007, and is set to air on NBC early 2008.
NBC partnered with MySpace owners News Corporation to found
Hulu, an online tv streaming site. Hulu is currently in beta, and offers shows such as The Office, Prison Break and Miami Vice.
The series is will run on nbc.com also, but there is no mention if it will be available on Hulu.
Herskovitz and Edward Zwick are the creators of shows such as My So-Called Life and Thirtysomething.
