Social media platform company KickApps has released Version 3.0 of its
application suite to allow content publishers and developers to more easily drive user engagement.
Version 3.0 enables non-technical web publishers to build a social networking with a customisable template that includes news feeds, social graphs, video, audio and photo sharing, message boards and group features.
Alex Blum, CEO of
KickApps comments, ?Our vision is to eliminate all barriers for
publishers looking to deploy a wide range of social media applications at their own websites. KickApps 3.0 fulfills this vision by providing both expert developers as well as those with minimal expertise the ability to deploy and manage the kind of compelling user experiences that are now proven recipes for rapid audience growth and deeper engagement.?
With the new release comes KickApps 3.0 Affiliate Center ? allowing community owners to monetize through ad insertion from major ad networks. The Affiliate Center also includes real time data monitoring, including data and media activity and widget distribution.
For those looking to create their own widget, 3.0 includes a Widget Studio with a point-and-click and drag-and-drop interface for Flash programmers, web developers and non-programmers. The Widget Studio, which is in private beta until March 2008, allows widget creators to choose from a number of template layouts, integrate RSS feeds and syndicate to the majority of social networking sites and portals.
In December, KickApps partnerd with AOL?s Advertising.com to serve Advertising.com?s
video ad-serving system Lightningcast to KickApps powered social networks; allowing them to easily generate revenue through in-stream video advertising.
KickApps customers include Guinnes World Records, VIBE magazine and the New York Knicks.
