Web 2.0 video company mDialog is giving filmmakers and content owners the opportunity to generate revenue from their content via their new pay-per-download engine. The new video delivery platform will be live by
February 2008.
Content owners will be able to customize their own channel (or groups of channels) and set a range of prices for their material, including a ?pay-what-you-can? option. They will receive 60% of the generated revenue and will also be able to incorporate their own types of sponsorship (including product placement).
Founder and president of
mDialog says, ?mDialog?s ability to offer high resolution film and video content and a means to monetize it is a win-win outcome for both viewers and filmmakers. We?re interested in not only showcasing the extraordinary work of producers but also in rewarding their time and efforts, and making mDialog the place to go to watch great content.?
Users of the pay-per-download engine will have the option of only making their content available to a select group of viewers (as chosen by them) or a wider audience.
mDialog videos are also compatible with the Apple iPhone and the iTouch, and channels can be subscribed to through iTunes.
