Video-on-demand portal, audiotube has
today announced their acquisition of urban music community, Big Music Board.
Big Music Board, which was established in 2003 and currently has over seven thousand members, was purchased by audiotube for an undisclosed sum.
Although the announcement did not include details of how the two social networks will be integrated, Chief executive officer of
audiotube, Scott DeMercado says that in today?s environment, rich media and community should be intrinsically linked.
DeMercado comments, ?The acquisition of Big Music Board will bring thousands of music enthusiasts to the audiotube music video-on-demand network where they can communicate their passion ? Music."
Big Music Board is a niche community site for urban hip hop and rap music. Every month it hosts a '
RapAttack' competition where members showcase their lyrical talents by submitting their own raps and lyrics for judging by the community.
