Warner Music Group (WMG) today announced it will be making its vast catalogue of content available to mobile company SendMe Mobile and its mobile sweepstakes site SoLow.com.
The companies have teamed up to create a series of customisable SMS subscription products that will enable fans to directly access their favourite artists over multiple platforms. More mobile products are scheduled to be rolled out in the coming months.
As part of the agreement
SendMe has committed to showcasing thousands of Warner?s downloadable ringtones, video ringers and wallpaper images on its main website.
Both parties are enthusiastic about a collaborative venture they see as combining their respective fields of expertise in a complementary fashion. Co-founder and chief executive officer of SendMe Russell Klein describes the endeavour as, "Giving our members access to Warner artists marks a milestone in our efforts to deliver the best and broadest catalogue of premium content in the market.?
Stephen Bryan, senior vice president for digital strategy and business development at Warner echoes his satisfaction, commenting that, "With SendMe's creative platform, we're able to integrate their mobile product offerings into our marketing efforts to give consumers more ways to experience and access our artists' music-based mobile products.?
Warner and SendMe have announced plans to continue working together to devise artist-related experiential prizes and content on SendMe's mobile game and contest site
SoLow.com. The prizes on offer are set to include opportunities to meet and socialise with popular Warner artists.
