ShareThis has today announced the appointment of two industry veterans to its board of directors. Vivek Shah, president of Fortune|Money Group and Michael Fisher, former vice president of engineering and architecture at
PayPal join join the ShareThis board to further grow the young company.
Tim Schigel, chief executive officer of ShareThis says, ?We're excited to have two established industry veterans, Michael and Vivek join our Board of Directors to continue advancing the vision we have for ShareThis. Michael and Vivek bring a unique set of experiences and insight into both online platform development and digital publishing to our quickly expanding company."
In the announcement issued
today, ShareThis allude that announcements of major partnerships with leading publishers, blogs and content providers will follow in the coming weeks.
The news of the expanded board of directors follows news in September that the company would acquire blog sharing widget,
MadKast along with the appointment of former vice president of Yahoo!, Vikram Bhan as
chief product officer.
In March 2008, ShareThis received USD $15 million in series B funding led by Draper Fisher Jervetson.
