B2B social network LinkedIn launches market research tool to drive revenue
Following the announcement yesterday of cash investment to the tune of
$22.7 million USD, business to business (B2B) social network LinkedIn has launched a new market research tool to drive revenue.
LinkedIn Surveys enables investors and market researchers to tap into LinkedIn?s 30 million strong community, who can participate in surveys with a variety of rewards including gift cards for places such as Amazon and Starbucks or a donation to a charity.

LinkedIn comments, ?LinkedIn overcomes quality and authenticity issues that other sample providers face. Because of the public and self-policing nature of LinkedIn, members provide deep and accurate profile information and they update that information constantly.?
Chief operating officer at market research company Phoenix Marketing International, Scott Spry comments that more than ever before, sample quality and reliability are of top concern. He goes on to say, ?LinkedIn Survey?s has allowed us to quickly and cost effectively obtain feedback from real professionals who provide authentic perspectives.?
