Dailymotion has announced the launch of a new video player, Dailymotion HQ. With the introduction of the Dailymotion HQ player, the company hopes to offer users an improved playback quality with sharper images and enhanced audio functionality.
Dailymotion?s chief executive officer Mark Zaleski states, ?The debut of Dailymotion HQ video reinforces our commitment to delivering the best content and the most advanced technology to our audience and contributors around the world.?
The video sharing company?s global audience of over 37 million will be able to compare videos played through the existing player and the
new HQ player side by side, allowing them to compare quality. If the user then wishes, they can set their default player to the HQ player, meaning that all videos will be automatically played with the new Dailymotion HQ.
Zaleski goes on to say, ?Our superior playback capabilities have been a critical part of our rapid growth and success, and we pledge to continuously bring more enhancements and features to the site in order to give the best experience to our viewers, partners and advertisers.?
Earlier this month, Dailymotion
signed an agreement with Warner Bros make the full 13 episodes of popular Canadian series jPod available on the Dailymotion website.
