African American new media company Codeblack Interactive has today announced
a partnership with YouTube. The partnership will see the Google owned online video community distribute content created exclusively for the online urban market.
Codeblack?s President, Quincy Newell says that the partnership with YouTube demonstrates significant recognition of YouTube?s black audience. He comments, ?As the leading distributor of black filmed content, Codeblack is pleased to team with YouTube and Google to super serve this audience and its advertisers with quality urban programming from the brightest emerging African-American content creators.
As part of the agreement, Codeblack will make select advertising and sponsorship opportunities available on its YouTube channel and across the Google Content Network. Content will also be syndicated through Google to multiple online destinations targeting the African American audience.

The first original series to be featured on
Codeblack?s YouTube channel will be created by Yamara Taylor, who wrote TV series The Boondocks.
