Advertising network VideoEgg launch video and rich media mobile ad platform for iPhone

Rich media advertising network VideoEgg has today unveiled its new ad platform for mobile, AdFramesSM.   The service is only compatible initially with Apple?s iPhone, however this will extend to other devices in the near future.

Through AdFramesSM, advertisers are able to distribute expandable rich media ads to mobile applications thanks to the growth of open mobile platforms for 3G friendly handsets, such as Apple?s iPhone, Google?s Android and Sony Ericsson?s Xperia.

Troy Young, chief marketing officer at VideoEgg says that the key to creating value for advertisers is to offer an invitation based solution that both engages and rewards the end user.  Young continues, ?By applying our deep understanding of video and rich media advertising and extending our AdFrames platform to mobile devices, we?re opening up a new channel to reach consumers with a problem opt-in approach.  Advertisers get innovation without risk.?

AdFrames will be served across both applications and web pages on the iPhone, with other platforms to come.  The mobile distribution channel forms part of VideoEgg?s ad platform and will be included as a standard option on campaigns.

VideoEgg?s network of over 80 million customers and cost per engagement (CPE) makes AdFramesSM an enticing proposition for brands looking to move into mobile.  VideoEgg say, ?The pricing model is based on cost per engagement, which delivers accountability and unmatched insight into ad effectiveness.  Rich media ads are served for free and advertisers pay only when a user engages, providing a risk-free method to distributing highly targeted brand content.?

Brands already using VideoEgg?s AdFramesSM include gaming company Ubisoft and camera giant Nikon.  Nikon?s senior communications manager, Lisa Baxt, comments, ?The full screen ad experience and cost per engagement model from VideoEgg has helped us significantly in our advertising efforts.  Bringing the same model and thinking to mobile environments is a natural and compelling extension of their offering.?

Some of the more popular of the 9,000 iPhone applications that users will see VideoEgg?s AdFramesSM include iGolf, Hangman, Scribble and Tic Tac Free.
