Dummies how-to books publisher re-launches Dummies.com with video and blog guides



John Wiley & Sons, publisher of the popular Dummies® books has re-launched Dummies.com social media powered website.

Aiming to marry the Dummies book?s style of simplifying complex subject matters, Dummies.com has introduced instructional articles, video and photos.  Additionally, Dummies.com users can subscribe to blogs covering a range of content areas published by authors of the Dummies books.

Katherine Schowalter, senior vice president of professional and consumer publications at Wiley is confident that the new website re-launch accurately captures the ?authoritative style? of the Dummies print books.  Schowalter goes on to say, ?Given the confusing mix of accurate and inaccurate information found on the Web, we are proud to present Dummies.com as a definitive, user-friendly resource that continues the traditional of the trusted Dummies brand.?

The newly revamped Dummies.com is ad-funded through a variety of channels, banner advertising, email marketing, pre-roll and fixed companion video ads, microsites and sweepstakes.  To promote the new site re-launch, Dummies.com is offering a ?For Dummies? competition sweepstakes for a chance to win a $5,000 USD grand prize.

According to its website, Wiley has over 150 million Dummies books in print that cover over 1,300 subjects including business, health, hobbies, education, food and drink and relationships.
