Google owned YouTube mark Obama?s 100 days in office with live broadcast

To mark US President Barack Obama?s first 100 days in office, YouTube will broadcast President Obama?s address to the nation live at 8pm EDT tonight.

Steve Grove from YouTube?s news and politics team said, ?The first three months of the ObPresident Obama photographama Administration have brought the new American President unprecedented challenges.  But like every president before him, he?s had to deal with the unexpected as well: who could have predicted pirates off the Somali Coast or swine flu??

The Google owned video sharing site will also feature commentary and analysis from news organisations such as Fox News, Al-Jazeera and the Washington Post, who have interviewed Americans for their thoughts on the President?s time in office.

?As citizens and pundits from all political perspectives analyze the President?s first 100 days in office today, [?] we?re going to carry a live stream of the conference from the White House YouTube channel,? concluded Grove.

YouTube are encouraging the community to ?join in the conversation? by posting a video on how they think the Obama Administration is doing and what advice they ?would give the President moving forward.?  User videos uploaded as a response to the Citizentube video will have the opportunity to be selected to feature on Google?s News page tomorrow.

US research company Center for Media and Public Affairs has released a report today that found that President Obama has had more evening news coverage than both his predecessors Bush and Clinton combined.
