Genealogy site MyHeritage announces new features to connect families
Popular genealogy site MyHeritage.com has today
announced a range of new features for users building their family tree.
The Israel based company, which has more than 7,000 family trees created every day, has entirely revamped its service offering by enabling free customization and the ability to print and share family trees via a professional poster printing service. It is also offering users a custom and handmade family tree chart service by a new internal specialist department.
MyHeritage's founder and chief executive officer Gilad Japhet comments, ?Our beautiful family tree charts are a great reward for families who have spent many hours researching their roots. Family history is much more fun when you can share what you have discovered with others, and family tree charts are perfect for that. We?re proud to raise the bar and provide the widest choice of customizable family tree charts on the web ? that can easily be shared with others for free.?
MyHeritage has more than 16 million family tree charts on its site and can choose from more than 18 chart templates to display their lineage. Customisation of charts can be done through adding photos, notes, birthdays, anniversaries, font colours, borders and backgrounds.
The site supports 35 languages, has face recognition and uses Google Maps to map your family across the globe. A feature already existing on the site is the ability to create a private family site, that can be accessed only by members of the creators family. However with today?s announcement, users can now export their family tree as a PDF and print or email to family that are not online.
