SendSocial launches national address-less delivery service!

SendSocial (SendSocial) - 21 May 2010

SendSocial signs partnership with ByBox for 100% consumer delivery convenience

A distribution revolution: consumers can now pick up their packages on their terms

SendSocial, the company for sending anything, anywhere, without an address has entered a partnership with ByBox. The pioneer of ?address-less? delivery, SendSocial is working with ByBox to allow consumers greater flexibility when it comes to collecting their packages. The ByBox partnership means that consumers can now send and receive packages through their nearest dropbox, rather than wait at home for the courier to turn up.

ByBox, an established company within the parcel logistics and technology marketplace, will partner with SendSocial to provide secure person-to-person deliveries across its 3,500 nationwide drop boxes at over 300 locations.  With 24/7 collection access and a commitment to 48 hour delivery from one box to another, the ByBox service provides SendSocial customers with total flexibility, convenience and ownership of the whole delivery and collection of their parcels.  Control is now placed firmly in the hands of the consumer, who no longer needs to wait for packages to be delivered but can decide when and from where to collect their delivery themselves.

The partnership is valued at an estimated £2 million and set to leave traditional methods of delivery well and truly stuck in the slow lane.  The terms of the deal entitle SendSocial to a sizable number of free deliveries with ByBox, a benefit that will in turn be passed on to consumers across the UK.

Stuart Miller, CEO, ByBox said; ?Convenience is at the heart of the ByBox service ? we try to make it as easy as possible for our customers to collect their goods. Working with SendSocial will allow us to extend this convenience and flexibility to an even wider consumer audience.  The innovation behind SendSocial, coupled with ByBox?s network of boxes from Truro to Inverness and most towns in between will provide consumers with a great alternative to traditional methods of delivery which so often let them down.?

Jonathan Grubin, CCO, SendSocial said: ?We live in a world of increasing nomadic existences and a constant lack of time.  With physical addresses changing so quickly, very often a Twitter ID or email address remain the only constant.  Adding the ByBox service to our delivery options solves the next piece of the puzzle as our customers no longer need to wait for deliveries to arrive, but can collect  them in their own time.?

Unlike traditional delivery mechanisms and associated issues, ByBox has a first time delivery success rate of 99.75% so not only is convenience paramount but there is further assurance for the sender that the package will actually arrive.
