DormNoise Announces Major Feature Updates for 2010-2011 Academic Year
Bay State College, Bryant & Stratton College and Newbury College sign
three-year renewals to experience new features on DormNoise
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DormNoise, the only interactive collegiate calendar system, announced
today that after yearlong trials, three of its customers have signed
three-year contract renewals to continue providing DormNoise to their
students. Students at Bay State College, Bryant & Stratton College and
Newbury College will all have access to brand new DormNoise features
including a Facebook application, a Student Rewards Center, as well as a
mobile application and text message alerts.
?We are confident in
our product and were able to prove our worth to three well respected
schools; their renewals speak volumes for what DormNoise can do for
student involvement.?
?We couldn?t be more thrilled that our customers have renewed with us,?
said Jay Rodrigues, founder and CEO of DormNoise. ?We are confident in
our product and were able to prove our worth to three well respected
schools; their renewals speak volumes for what DormNoise can do for
student involvement.?
The 2010-2011 academic year brings with it three major upgrades on
DormNoise:
-
The newly introduced Facebook application allows students to use
DormNoise in its entirety on Facebook. It also allows students to
import all of their Facebook friends from school into their DormNoise
Contact List for easy event planning.
-
The Student Rewards Center gives students attending schools that use
DormNoise an incentive to get more involved on campus. Depending on
the number of activities students attend or create, they can qualify
for rewards such as gift cards to Amazon.com, Starbucks, McDonalds,
iTunes, Subway and Dunkin? Donuts.
-
DormNoise created a mobile application for Blackberry, iPhone and
Android smartphones to keep on-the-go students connected to all of
their events and activities. For students without smartphones,
DormNoise added text message alerts.
?After seeing a significant increase in student involvement on our
campus, renewing with DormNoise for three more years was not even a
question,? said Amy Shirley, Dean of Student Affairs of Newbury College.
?DormNoise allows college administrators to keep up with our tech-savvy
and over-scheduled student population.?
DormNoise offers universities and colleges three different payment
plans, either paying per student, allowing corporate sponsorships or a
combination of the two plans. Schools paying per student pay about $2
per student while schools allowing corporate sponsorships use the
application for free and even have the opportunity to make a profit.
Schools can also choose a combination of both plans lowering the cost
per student with a few corporate sponsors.
