Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation is famous for making broadcasting history. In June of 2010 they live broadcasted Hawaii's
first surfing contest using an IP Backhaul; giving broadcasters the
ability to broadcast live events over the internet, television, and
mobile media devices from hard to reach places. In 2011 they are at it
again, by being the first broadcasting company in the world to attempt a
3D production of a live surfing event.
CEO of Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation Chris Carmichael said, "Big
waves make for great 3D television, 3D movies, and 3D Imax. There are
currently very few 3D options; we aim to be one of the premier 3D
options in the Action Sports arena."
Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation has once again assembled an award
winning production team for its latest 3D endeavor. Clio award winner
and CEO of Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation, Chris Carmichael has put together one of the best 3D crews in America. Ubiquity's 3D team includes world-famous IMAX 3D filmmaker Mike Prickett and stereographic 3D cinematographers Antonio Fernie Apodaca and Jason Mueller; add 6 time Emmy Award winning producer Steve Jacobs, and Ubiquity is poised to produce some of the best 3D content on the market.
Emmy Award winner Steve Jacobs, board
member of Ubiquity said, "Having produced the first 3D College Football
game for Sony and the consumer electronics show, seeing Ubiquity's 3D
capability, I know we are at the forefront of 3D technology and
production."
Prickett, Mueller, and Apodaca are most famous for their role in the
3D production of the live U2 concert. This award winning 3D team will
provide audiences an unprecedented immersive 3D viewing experience of
Pipeline and a glimpse of what the future of entertainment and 3D offer.
Ubiquity Broadcasting will be using the latest in 3D technology and equipment developed by Ubiquity and Mike Prickett.
The patent-pending hi-speed 35mm 3D camera is the first of its kind,
and is beginning to revolutionize the 3D industry. Ubiquity's and
Prickett's 3D camera provide cutting edge technology that aligns the eye
position of a stereographic camera in real time, has high res 3D zoom
lenses, and integrated digital processing. Ubiquity's 3D camera has two
camera eyes that match the right eye with the left eye in full frame
simultaneously, while digitally syncing the image. The 3D camera
processes images from each camera eye in a full 35mm frame at 200 frames
per second, making it the fastest 3D camera out there.
Using the latest in 3D technology and one of the best 3D crews in
America, Ubiquity will produce 3D content from The Da Hui Presents the
Sponsor Me Backdoor Shootout January 3, 2011. The Backdoor Shootout is held at the world famous Banzai Pipeline, on the North Shore of Hawaii. The contest features some of the gnarliest waves on the planet rode by the biggest names in surfing. Makua Rothman, Bruce Irons, Reef Mcintosh, Sunny Garcia, Kai Barger, Jamie O Brien, Ian Walsh, and John John Florence
are just some of the surfers signed up for the event. Quiksilver,
Hurley, RVCA, Volcom, Vans, Da Hui, and the North Shore Boys all have
submitted teams vying for the $100,000 prize purse and the best team
in surfing.
Ubiquity's 3D team and advanced technology allow the director and
stereographer to work together harmoniously. This harmony will be
brought to life by the production of The Da Hui Presents the Sponsor Me
Backdoor Shootout. Ubiquity will produce and distribute the 3D content
captured at the Backdoor Shootout to 3D networks, theatres, and to the
production of DVD's. The next evolution of digital cinema is here, and
Ubiquity is poised to make its play in 3D cinema and 3D mobile.
