AlgaeCal launches new iPhone app to help fight osteoporosis

AlgaeCal Inc, a leading provider of bone health products and awareness launches a new app that will help prevent osteoporosis by improving your diet. This app assesses and predicts bone health by analyzing an individual's diet and lifestyle. This is one of the many ways AlgaeCal is trying to fight osteoporosis  and raise bone health awareness through education.

The U.S. Surgeon General's Bone Health Report issued a "call to action" to develop bone health programs based on improved nutrition including increased intakes of calcium and vitamin D, and bone health literacy. This tool was originally available on the AlgaeCal web site in an online version that is used by thousands of users. Now because of its popularity the calculator has been developed into an app for Iphone, Ipad and Ipods.
