?Butterfinger loves the enthusiasm fans have for their favorite candy bar, whether online or offline,? said spokesperson Tricia Bowles, of Nestlé USA Confections and Snacks. ?We?re celebrating that enthusiasm through a free candy bar giveaway in San Diego, while supplies last, tied to the promotion of our new movie ?Butterfinger the 13th? directed by Rob Lowe.?
The @butterfinger celebration comes a day ahead of San Diego?s largest pop culture convention in the downtown Gaslamp Quarter, where Butterfinger will unveil details on its new comedy-horror film, directed by Rob Lowe, ?Butterfinger the 13th.? On Friday, July 22, Lowe will appear at the convention?s Sony Booth #4229, hosted by the movie?s digital media partners FEARnet and Crackle of Sony Pictures Television. About ?Butterfinger the 13th"
Inspired by Butterfinger?s ?Nobody?s Gonna Lay A Finger? tagline, Lowe is directing the first-ever film by one of America?s iconic candy brands. ?Butterfinger the 13th? aims to take its audience on a perilous journey with the film?s hero, whose paranoia leads to the belief that someone wants to lay a finger? in more ways than one. For more on ?Butterfinger the 13th,? the director?s online video blog dubbed ?The Lowe Down? may be viewed at Facebook.com/Butterfinger, where the film will premiere on October 13.
