MapHook App Shows Global Participation in Earth Hour

World Wildlife Fund and MapHook team-up again to support Earth Hour

DULLES, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MapHook, the location-based journal application, again is partnering with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in support of Earth Hour by uniting people across the globe through its social media platform.

?We are excited to partner with World Wildlife Fund again this year, and hope that MapHook will continue to bring people together both for great causes like Earth Hour as well as for every-day communication.?

Earth Hour, which takes place at 8:30 p.m. local time on March 23, is an annual event supported by WWF in which participants turn off non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the environmental impact we have on our planet. By teaming together, MapHook and WWF are demonstrating Earth Hour?s global reach.

Through its website, WWF asks participants to share their commitment to Earth Hour by creating ?hooks? on MapHook that describe how they plan to support the event. Participants can include written details, photos, and videos in the ?hook? to describe their plans. Earth Hour participants can post their ?hooks? on https://worldwildlife.org/pages/earth-hour-around-you.

?MapHook?s social media platform helps provide visual impact to the Earth Hour mission and cause,? says Dr. Paul Carter, MapHook CEO. ?We are excited to partner with World Wildlife Fund again this year, and hope that MapHook will continue to bring people together both for great causes like Earth Hour as well as for every-day communication.?
