London, UK ---- Social news and information site the Social Media Portal (SMP) is supporting the 3rd annual Ovum Industry Congress (OIC) to be held in under a fortnight?s time.

The event, organised by global analyst company Ovum, is created for senior information technology (IT) professionals and returns for the third year.  OIC will run over two days from 14-15 May 2013 at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London in the United Kingdom.  

The OIC is free-to-attend for IT and business decision makers.  Delegates can register for a complimentary place by visiting the registration page on the Ovum conference website, using priority code MP/SMP.

New streams for this year?s event are Ovum senior leadership stream, sector breakfast briefings and five super streams. The Ovum senior leadership stream is designed to address issues facing the ICT leaders focusing upon areas that have an impact business-wide; helping to present senior executives with the knowledge needed to overcome them.

The sector breakfast briefings presented by Ovum specialists covers three sectors - higher education, public sector and financial services which are available on a first come, first served basis.

The five super streams focus upon the areas of Adapting to IT Consumerisation, Enterprise IT Management, Information Management and Analytics, Optimising Customer Experience and Transforming Infrastructure and Services ? all-important issues that attendees may encounter and can use the knowledge gained from OIC to implement within their organisations.

Tim Gibbon, cofounder and editor at SMP explains, ?In just over two weeks the Ovum Industry Congress will welcome business decision makers and IT professionals to a platform where, in addition to the exhibition, delegates will be exposed to great presentations. More importantly they will have an opportunity to speak directly with analysts and can pose questions that they may not normally have access to do.?
