SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Revd, Inc. ? a Silicon Valley startup empowering fans, brands, venues and talent has partnered with renowned award-winning artist-producer Timbaland to launch the Company?s groundbreaking platform.
?Revd provided our hotel a rare opportunity to team-up with fans and sponsors in bringing a world-class talent to the Bay area for a unique high-caliber event experience?
Revd empowers fans, brands and venues to partner and create unique, intimate events with celebrity and established talent. The Company?s platform lets fans set ticket prices for events they love through online sealed-bid auction-style bidding. Revd is also leveling the playing field and making it simple for potential sponsors or venues to become part of these great events. Any brand, any venue, anywhere can bid to sponsor and host these events, helping bring fan inspired experiences to their local area. This enables talent to connect directly and efficiently with fans, brands and venues, who value their events the most, without costly layers in between.
Bidding begins today for the company?s launch event with Timbaland on June 29, 2013, which will take place at the iconic Palace Hotel in San Francisco. ?Revd provided our hotel a rare opportunity to team-up with fans and sponsors in bringing a world-class talent to the Bay area for a unique high-caliber event experience,? said Gena Chen, Director of Catering & Conference Services. ?Using our exceptional venue capabilities to support such an innovative concept felt like a perfect match for the Palace.?
Timbaland has stamped his indelible imprint on the music scene as an acclaimed record producer, songwriter and musical artist. His talents have been sought after for collaborations with an array of diverse superstars such as Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Madonna to Katy Perry, The Pussycat Dolls and One Republic among others. Timbaland?s genre breaking has changed popular music today, as evidenced by his recent collaboration on the hit single ?Suit & Tie? with Justin Timberlake featuring Jay-Z.
?I?ve always believed in staying ahead of the curve with originality and experimentation,? said Timbaland. ?So why not partner with a startup that?s reinventing how great smaller-scale events happen with creative talent. I think fans and the entertainment industry are looking for better ways to connect and I believe Revd is on to something game-changing. You don?t want to miss this.?
As Revd events are unique and intimate, the Company?s bidding platform lets fans set ticket prices collectively ? with an intriguing twist. All winning bidders pay the same price for a particular ticket package (VIP or General Admission) and always pay less than their original bid. Each bidder will decide what the selected ticket package is worth to them, and place their one bid accordingly. The final price per ticket package will be the bid amount just below the lowest winning bid.
?Our mission is to power intimate events imagined and inspired by fans, while leveraging technology to reinvent the way these events are created,? said Revd Founder and CEO Mith Niles. ?We don't see the world how it is, we see how it should be. Talent invests and takes risks in building their brand and career. It only seems fair that our platform drives a significant majority percentage of all event revenue to talent and their teams.?
This is first of many great events Revd is planning that will allow fans to feel ?up close and personal? with the talent they love.
