In every single city, TPO is working with individual local charities to raise immediate funds and enhance awareness of the benefits that communities derive from the partnership. Each city will host a family-focused community event including:
- a nationwide penalty shoot-out competition with the chance to win one of 600 footballs or an iPad for the overall winner
- a photo face-board for kids
- a host of giveaways including 9,000 packs of loveheart sweets, balloons and wristbands
Everyone attending the tour events can grab a free SIM card with credit so they can see for themselves how they can make a difference by switching to The People's Operator.
Mark Epstein, TPO CEO said: "We are really excited to be an integral part of the People United bus tour. This is a great opportunity for people to see what we are about and how, by simply switching to our network, they can direct 10% of their mobile spend to a cause they love without it costing them a penny. We see this as the start of a process to connect people across the country with the mobile network that was built for them. We want people to know they have a new choice for their mobile provider, one that not only offers great deals and customer service but one that also turns their mobile into a force for good. We are saying to everyone across the UK, switch to us, let's start making things better, it's time to change."
