LONDON/PRNewswire/ --
NeighbourBlog is a discussion forum for Londoners who live in the same street or building. While other community websites might focus only on one particular borough or area, NeighbourBlog aims to connect neighbours in the same streets and houses and ease the sharing of information between them.
It was created as an online community for Londoners in 2010, who wished to make their homes a better place to live, but simply did not have time to communicate about their residential issues with neighbours or councils face to face. Many of us find ourselves living in a street or development for years without knowing the people next door, but NeighbourBlog makes it easy to communicate. Topics vary from rubbish and noise issues to more serious cases such as security problems.
Any or all your local info
NeighbourBlog offers a wide range of information about house prices, crime rates, population and council tax rates for each area. Users can also find council contact details if they wish to report anything or take their residential matters further. For those who are new to an area, a section with a list of local businesses, their descriptions and contact details is also available.
On London buses and BBC Radio
The past few months have been very busy and challenging for NeighbourBlog as the start of the summer season was marked by a colourful and eye-catching advertising campaign across the London bus network. The campaign generated a lot of interest not only from inner, but also outer London residents and as a result, 13 outer London postcodes were added to NeighbourBlog. In addition, NeighbourBlog was featured on BBC Radio Tees mid-morning programme on August 7, participating in the discussion 'How to be a good neighbour'.
Mobile App
This success and recognition paved the path to developing a mobile application, which allows users to surf the website on the go much more conveniently. Inevitably, a tablet version will follow shortly.
The mobile app for Android phones and tablets will be introduced at the start of September, while iPhone and iPad users will be able to download it a month later.
NeighbourBlog is completely free and easy to use by everyone. All you need is a username, password and a valid email address. Or if that sounds like a long registration process, you can sign in using your Facebook account.
NeighbourBlog also welcomes any investments. To find out more information how you can start investing, please send an email to admin@neighbourblog.com and a member of staff will get back to you shortly.
