WASHINGTON/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Otessa Ghadar, president and founder of acclaimed DC-based new media production firm 20/20 Productions today announced details forWashington D.C.'s 2nd annual Web and Digital MediaFestival which will be held on April 5th and 6th at a variety of locations throughout the nation's capital. For the second year in a row, 20/20 Productions will play host to leaders from the rapidly growing and evolving world of new media. This year's festival agenda was expanded over two days and will be decidedly tech-heavy, featuring discussions on digital publishing, immersive journalism, interactive media, and gaming and robotics among other themes. The Web Series festival will not only feature some of the many new media success stories but the event will resemble a summit of new media technology leaders who will share their knowledge in lively panel discussions. Last year's inaugural event was a great success and has helped in establishing Washington D.C. as a bona fide hotbed of talent in the new media arena.
"We wanted to build on last year's success" says Ghadar, creative brain behind such successful web series as "Orange Juice in Bishop's Garden" now in its seventh season and author of "Wild West of Film" a comprehensive new media "how to" book that is quickly becoming a must read in the new media community. I am looking forward to the discussions on new media, specifically with an eye on its enabling technology. We expect to have a lively exchange of ideas from known experts in the field from all around the country. Washington D.C. is the perfect city to host an event like this because of the high concentration of technology sector companies along with a rich and vibrant art scene. We are fortunate to be at the intersection of the two."
