- Mindshare takes the lead in the awards shortlist closely followed by MediaCom and PHD

Singapore, 03 February 2016 ---- Mindshare proves its media expertise with 20 of its campaigns shortlisted in the
Festival of Media Awards 2016. MediaCom and PHD are in hot competition with 14 shortlisted cases each.
The Festival of Media Asia Awards is the only awards dedicated to media, attracting entries from all over the region. Australia retains its domination of the Awards? Shortlist with 27 entries closely followed by India with 24. Hong Kong and Malaysia also perform strongly with 14 campaigns each, doubling the number they had shortlisted at the previous edition. China proves the quality of its media work with 17 shortlisted campaigns this year while Philippines and Singapore also do well, with eight and seven entries respectively.
Stand-out agencies include Mindshare China with an impressive nine entries shortlisted while its India office boasts seven on the listing. PHD China succeeds with five shortlisted entries just beaten by PHD?s Australia office on six. For MediaCom it?s the Australia and India offices that contribute the most to the GroupM haul with five and four entries respectively.
A jury of more than 50 industry leaders from media agency networks and independents, clients and digital specialists spent weeks reviewing and scoring submitted campaigns in this first stage of judging. The authoritative jury has the most brand judges compared to any other awards, including:

- Margot Torres, VP Marketing, McDonald?s Philippines
- Ajit Nayak, Vice President at Procter & Gamble and Greater China & Country Managing Director for Taiwan, HK & Macau
- Shivani Goswami, Head of Media, APAC, MasterCard
- Edward Kilian, Chief Marketing Officer OLX
- Ryan Verschoor, Head of Global Brands, Asia Pacific, SABMiller
- Mohd Hisham Saleh, Head of Social Media & Innovations, Malaysia Airlines
- Cheryl Goh, Group Vice President of Marketing, GrabTaxi
Winners will be decided by a final jury meeting in Singapore, where the Festival of Media Asia Pacific Awards will also take place at the Twitter HQ, Tuesday 22 March 2016.
Meanwhile entries are still welcome to the newly launched Twitter Live Marketing category which looks to reward the best real-time campaign by a brand or its agency leveraging Twitter. Deadline for entries for this new initiative is 26 February 2016. The shortlisted campaigns will be judged along with all the Festival of Media Asia Pacific categories in Singapore, with the winners announced at the awards there.
Prior to the Awards winners? presentation, the inaugural Festival of Media Asia Pacific Academy supports learning for young media professionals. The two-day programme features high-level presentations and training as well as mentoring while participants tackle a real-life Asia brand marketing challenge. The end group presentations will be judged, with the winners celebrated at the Festival of Media Asia Pacific Awards.
