LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(
Marketwired) - Everynet, an Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity company with a disruptive business model and an innovative partner program, today announced it has launched an Interoperability Lab. The company, which is rolling out LoRaWAN? networks globally with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and private network partners, said the first devices from Microchip and Flashnet are already tested and the application platform from Teezle already integrated and demonstrated.
The everyTHINGS Interoperability Lab will allow end device manufacturers to guarantee interoperability, for both their end devices and the respective applications. The devices will be tested on the Everynet IoT network and the applications pre-integrated with the Everynet Core Network Platform. This will ensure simple, seamless deployment options for customers requiring out-of-the-box IoT network solutions for their specific IoT business requirements.
The LoRaWAN Certification Program is supported by Everynet, a contributing member of the LoRa? Alliance. This program was launched in November 2015 to certify functional conformance to the LoRaWAN specification. Interoperability testing will offer an additional guarantee at the network server layer that end devices will operate on any LoRaWAN network and is a crucial requirement for the widespread deployment of the IoT on a global scale. The everyTHINGS Program is a complementary process that will guarantee interoperability with the Everynet network and significantly simplify IoT use case deployment.
"Interoperability is key to IoT scale, having devices pre-tested and integrated with the various LoRaWAN networks will make it easy for deployment. Microchip devices are already LoRaWAN certified, but we are excited to support the everyTHINGS Lab and the Everynet vision of a simple 'out-of-the-box' customer experience for IoT deployment," said Jonathan Pearce, LoRa product line manager for Microchip Technology.
"The most important factor for any end-user is to trust that a product was tested to function in different scenarios. IoT devices are no exception, therefore we strongly believe that for a successful large-scale deployment of LoRa compatible devices, the market needs a guarantee that devices are correctly operating over different LoRaWAN network servers," said Lorand Mozes, CEO of Flashnet.
"We are quite excited in partnering with everynet on the Interoperability Lab initiative. Interoperability at the network level is key to enabling seamless communication between devices and applications across various LoRaWAN networks, both private and public. On top of making the devices and applications LoRaWAN ready, this approach allows leading platform providers like Teezle to focus on delivering a management infrastructure that works across various LoRa implementations," said Venky Karuppanan, CEO of Teezle.
"Being able to select the sensor that you need for your IoT business need and know that it will connect to the network as simply as a new mobile phone will connect to a cellular network will provide a 'consumer out-of-the-box' experience. This ease of use will drastically simplify IoT network rollouts. Just look through the list of compatible products, purchase and deploy," said Tracy Hopkins, Regional Head EMEA/APAC for Everynet.
The everyTHINGS Lab is open to any LoRaWAN end device, development kit, application or application enablement platform. Please contact us to join the program and help us make IoT deployments simple for end customers. A list of all pre-tested and integrated devices and applications will soon be available on everynet.com.
