AUSTIN, Texas/PRNewswire/ -- The State of Texas is launching an aggressive digital and social media advertising campaign in London over the 4th of July weekend to remind the world that the Lone Star State is "Wide Open for Business."

The campaign combines banner ads on the Financial Times home page and 7,000 other London-based websites with Twitter and Facebook promotions targeting business executives.

The campaign, which was timed to coincide with U.S. Independence Day, features ads and social media posts that urge companies to "declare independence from high taxes" and "celebrate economic freedom" by relocating or expanding in Texas. The messages underscore that Texas is a leader in job creation and exports and offers no corporate or personal income tax, fair regulations, strong infrastructure and a skilled workforce.

"Independence Day is the perfect opportunity for Texas to launch this campaign in the U.K. to highlight how Texas offers companies the freedom to prosper and is a beacon of opportunity," said Tracye McDaniel, President and CEO of TexasOne, the non-profit organization that markets the state globally as a premier business location. "Texas is inspiring a business revolution."

The campaign, which features photos of Governor Greg Abbott engaging with businesses, is being paid for by TexasOne.
