The hub conference programme for 2016 has been decided. Participants at the conference held by the German digital organisation, Bitkom, can look forward to 130 speakers, 400 start-ups and more than 2000 visitors. Among the keynote speakers will be the Dax members Carsten Kengeter, CEO of the Deutsche Börse Group, and Peter Terium, CEO of RWE AG & innogy SE. In addition, other high-ranking business representatives will report on digitalisation within their industries. Representatives from the digital economy include Reinhard Clemens, CEO from T-Systems, Jean-Philippe Courtois, Executive Vice President at Microsoft, and Philipp Jung, Chief Strategy Officer at HP Inc. In addition, there will be numerous founders of start-ups, such as Céline Lazorthes from Leetchi, Christian Henschel, co-founder of adjust, and Hans-Holger Albrecht from Deezer. "The hub conference bridges the gap between traditional economics, digital businesses and start-ups", says Bitkom managing director, Dr. Bernhard Rohleder. Jeff Jarvis, one of the most renowned experts on the digital scene, will outline the opportunities for Europe against the technological centres in the US and Asia.

The topics covered on the six stages will include intelligent mobility and autonomous driving. With a view to the use of artificial intelligence and robotics, speakers will discuss the impact of new technologies on the workplace. The presentations and stage discussions on Fintech und Blockchain will deal with the question of how digital technologies are revolutionising the financial sector.

At the Innovators' Pitch, founders will present their business ideas in the categories of Digital Health, Internet of Things and Mobility. Additionally visitors have the chance to participate in interactive practical workshops. At the Market Place, more than 30 companies will present new prototypes, solutions and exhibits from applied research.
